Tekla License Administration Tool 2025 License Server

To use Tekla Structures 2026 with older local license tools (FlexNet), you must upgrade to the 2025 version of the license tools.

Tekla Structures 2026 is not compatible with earlier versions of these older local license tools:

• Tekla License Server (Tekla License Administration Tool)

• Tekla License Borrow Tool

• Tekla On-Demand License Administration Tool

If earlier versions of Tekla Structures do not start due to the installation of Tekla Structures License Server 2025, install the latest Service Pack/Service Release for that version.

If needed, download the Tekla License Administration Tool 2025.

Tekla License Administration Tool 2025 Installation

Double-click the TeklaLicenseAdministrationTool_2025.exe file.

You may now see a message indicating that your PC is protected and prevents an unknown app from starting. Click the More info button in the dialog box, then click the Run anyway button to start the installation.

The following dialog box will appear. Select the language you want to use for the installation process.

Click OK. The following dialog box will appear:

Click Next:

Select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next.

Click Next.

Note: Tekla License Administration Tool 2025 is installed by default in the C:\Tekla\License\Server folder.
If you wish, change the location and click Next. 

Click Install to begin the installation.

Tekla License Administration Tool 2025 is being installed. Installation may take several minutes...

Click Finish.

After installing the latest license server, you need to add the following two files to the Windows Firewall:

- lmgrd.exe
- tekla.exe

These files are located in C:\Tekla\License\Server
If Tekla Structures still does not start, add the following file to the Firewall:

- lmutil.exe
