In this guide, we will explain the procedure to activate your license, install and management for Tekla Structural Designer. Let’s get started.

Step 1 - Create a Trimble ID

To begin our process, we must go to the following link Trimble ID 

This will take us to Trimble’s ID page, where we will create a new Trimble ID or use an existing one.

1. Select Create a Trimble ID.

   The Select nearest region pop-up opens.
2. Choose the region closest to your physical location and select Next.
3. Enter your first and last name and the email address you want to associate with your Trimble ID.

4. Review the terms and conditions, select the checkbox, and then select Agree and continue.

   A unique code is sent to your email.
5. Check your email to retrieve the code and enter it in the Verification Code field.

6. Create and enter a password that meets the complexity requirements shown on the screen. Confirm your password then select Submit.

   The secure passkey page opens

We must fill out this form with

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address

And we must accept the terms and conditions to continue.

Once this process is completed, a verification code will be sent to your email address.

You must enter it in the following window.

This will allow you to create a new password.

By clicking continue, the following will appear.

Here, you can click on sign in to continue with our process. It will take you to the initial form where you will be asked for your username and password to log in.

Step 2 - Download Tekla Structural Designer

Ones Trimble ID is ready, you have to download the software from the oficial web Download TSD 

Its necessary to follow the steps to download the software. In the License method question you have to select "Tekla online (Subscription)" and press next

Final step is to download the Structural Designer software.

Step 3- Software Install

After download the software it is necessary to install. In the InstallShield Wizard select Tekla Client License Manager (the third option)

Step 4- Configuration

After installation, go to windows icon and search "System and User Settings"

In the System - Products option, select your Tekla Structural Designer version and modify the License Method to "Tekla Online" finally press "Apply"

Step 5 - Start the software

After installation and license configuration start Tekla Structural Designer, if you are not signed in on your Trimble ID is going to ask for your email address and password. You can select "Stay signed in" option. After 14 days the system will ask again for credentials.

If you have more than one license related to your email you have to select before start

Step 6 - License management

Every user have his own Trimble ID and profile, you can look to your license configuration License Configuration

You can access to the "License Manager" by click in windows menu, search "License Manager" 

In the License Manager you will be able to see your Status and modify your Settings.

In the user settings you can change what happened when you close the software
